Homework on Case Study Report Operations Management
I’m looking for a case study report.
The following should be included in the report:
Executive Summary This should be a high-level summary of your report, but it should also include some background on your firm and its strategy to explain why you chose the six themes you did. Give your coach adequate information about the organization so that he or she can assess the work.
Issues – You want to see if there are any problems that your six topics can help solve.
Operating Environment – In order to evaluate the paper, your coach needs to know about the company’s history. Provide enough information on your market, competitors, internal operations, and so on to demonstrate why researching the chosen topics was a good idea.
The source of the problem – You’d like to describe what triggered the problem. Is the environment different now? Was the company’s plan incorrect? Was it the right strategy, but it wasn’t implemented properly?
Alternatives – You just need to present the benefits and drawbacks of your proposed strategy, but attempt to exhibit consistency, strategic alignment, and leadership abilities.
Recommendation – Make a compelling case for whatever recommendations you make, even if you advise against moving forward.
Identify the important elements and cautions of what you’re proposing, as well as who needs to be engaged in decision-making and implementation. How long do you think it’ll take?
Control and monitor Consider what KPIs will be used to assess the implementation’s success, and ensure that they are in line with your company’s strategic goals.
You must define the nature and breadth of logistical activities at your company in this report. You’ll also pinpoint a specific logistical issue or opportunity. Answers to the following questions should be included in your report:
1. What is the logistics strategy for your company? What are your logistical goals? What criteria do you use to evaluate logistics performance? Is logistics handled in-house or outsourced to third-party logistics (3PL) service providers in general?
2. What are the locations of your facilities? What factors are considered when deciding on a location? What factors are taken into account? What are the locations of your suppliers? How about your clients?
3. Who are your target clients? What is the customer service strategy for your company? What criteria are used to evaluate customer service?
4. Describe your company’s incoming logistics. What modes of transportation are employed? Describe the incoming cargo. Is inventory kept in a warehouse until it is needed or sold?
5. Describe your company’s outbound logistics. What modes of transportation are employed? Outbound freight should be described. Is inventory held in a warehouse until it is delivered to customers?
6. What factors influence inventory decisions? What factors go into determining order quantities? Is there any safety stock in your company? How do safety stock levels become determined?
